Press Release 27^th September 2022 – We Support the United Nations Global Compact

Today, Firebrand Promotions is pleased to announce that we have joined the United Nation Global Compact initiative — a voluntary leadership platform for the development, implementation and disclosure of responsible business practices.

With this announcement, Firebrand Promotions is proud to join thousands of other companies globally as well as those within the promotional merchandise sector committed to taking responsible business action to create the world we all want.

The UN Global Compact is a call to companies everywhere to align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and to take action in support of UN goals and issues embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

At Firebrand Promotions, we have been supporting Gold Standard Projects since September 2021. Each Gold Standard project we support embodies the (SDGs). In particular, for the past year, our Carbon Footprint has been offset through Climate Wise to the 100.5 MW Wind Power Project in Madhya Pradesh, India. This project embodies Goal 3, Goal 4, Goal 7, Goal 8 and Goal 13. As we head into our second year with Climate Wise, we hope to offset our Carbon Footprint with more Gold Standard projects and embody more SDGs in our progress.

Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, with more than 15,000 companies and 3,800 non-business signatories based in over 160 countries, and more than 69 Local Networks.
