Firebrand Achieve EcoVadis Platinum

We are delighted to announce that Firebrand Promotions, a Geiger Company has achieved a Platinum sustainability rating from EcoVadis, putting us in the top 1% of the 100,000+ companies worldwide that they review annually. This award is testament to the work that our team has put into delivering against our ESG goals. We started our sustainability initiative ‘Project Green’ back in 2017, where we acknowledged that a change was needed in the way that we operate and the products that we take to market had to evolve too, and these changes would help to support our customers starting similar environmental, social and governance journeys. Since 2022, we have been assessed by EcoVadis, originally achieving Gold in 2022, and now Platinum in 2024!

Taken from the EcoVadis website, EcoVadis is the world’s most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. EcoVadis helps companies to manage ESG risk and compliance, meet corporate sustainability goals, and drive impact at scale by guiding the sustainability performance improvement of your company and your value chain.

The EcoVadis scoring is split between three pillars. Overall, Firebrand Promotions, a Geiger Company achieved 86%. In the Environment pillar, we achieved 100%, which we are thrilled about. In the Labor & Human Rights pillar, we achieved 80% and for Ethics we achieved 90%. This year, it is our focus to maintain 100% for the Environment and improve our scores in Labor & Human Rights and Ethics.

The team at Firebrand are immensely proud to have been awarded with EcoVadis Platinum, however, the journey doesn’t stop there. Since our 2023 assessment, we have put in place various ESG focused enhancements and these include an on-line product assortment that only features products with sustainable attributes. We are committed to sustainable innovation and no longer promote a product unless it has sustainable attributes with relevant compliance targets set in place. We also enhanced our CSR page, and this page is an excellent platform within our website to not only share our journey but communicate our progress and important work in the community too. It also has a dedicated page which provides educational resources for all our website users. The educational resources have come from both our partners, Climate Wise and our Senior Marketing Executive’s Carbon Literacy Training, all information on this page is linked with sources to ensure there is no Greenwashing. Furthermore, we recently rolled out internal carbon literacy training for our staff to educate and inform in such an important area.

Furthermore, this news follows shortly after our parent company in the US achieved a gold rating , their first rating by EcoVadis, and our colleagues from our international division in Hayes achieved a platinum rating for the 2nd year in succession. As a group, Geiger is committed to its ESG strategy, and these ratings reflect that commitment.
